Sketch-A-Long

Meet the sewhappyJane Sketch-A-Long!

Finally out of my head and into reality...
This little artist carrying case has been a loooong time coming and I get so giddy everytime I look at it.
This one was made for a birthday gift last weekend. Hadley was so sad to give it away, but she did, and I've promised her another one is on the way.
A zipper pocket for holding the wide and varied assortment of mediums every artist needs. No confining slots dictating the use of only skinny things! A pocket to hold a pad of paper with the finished artwork stashed behind and a velcro tab to cinch it all up and hit the road.

Hello Sketch-A-Long. I love you.

(If you'd like a sketch-a-long of your very own or know someone who would...e-mail me. We'll talk about a custom order. If you're interested in test sewing the pattern please let me know! I need testers...)

  1. I'd absolutely love to test this pattern for you. I'm terrible at pattern drafting (except for knitting patterns) but think this is a great holiday gift idea.

  10. Doesn't seem like you need anymore, but I would test the pattern for you, too. It is wonderful and I especially like the zipper pocket rather than the slots. Perfect for my nieces. Lovely gift. =]

  17. Love this project... I could use one for myself, too, for when I go to meetings...besides pens, pencils, I'd take an architectural scale and a roll of tissue paper & notepad. It would be great. Except I'd have to buy one because, I only sew by force.

  18. I love this thing!! If you are taking orders, I'd like to have one to give as a gift. Is there a slot anywhere to put the finished pages? You can contact me at mcvarner@maplenet.net
