Local Supper-Week One

Cream of Asparagus Soup, market sourdough and roasted garlic bread, garden fresh green salad, and rhubarb hand pies.
There were some non-local ingredients here. I used flour, salad dressing, bell peppers and carrots from the grocery store. I'm getting back into the swing of things, though, and it feels good to be eating mostly local meals again. Soon I'll be skipping even more aisles at the store.

  3. where i live they are trying to get the "100 mile diet" going. eating things that are grown within 100 miles of your home. your supper looks delicious!

  4. that soup looks amazing! We are trying to consume more foods grown locally as well, joining a CSA has been the biggest help!

  5. We got a ton of kale this week with the CSA. Shawn and I are a little scared of kale...sorry to those how love it out there...

    But we found a define recipe online that has converted us...as you will see...soon... -S

    Oh, yeah, I also want a taste of that soup!
