One of those weeks

It's been that kind of week. The take it easy and drink a mug of tea kind of week.

Thankfully I've had a lovely stack of books to look at. Pretty things and warm tea seem to make the cough-y, sneeze-y, fever-y days feel a little bit nicer. Especially when the mug of comfort has a pretty place to land.
These coasters are one of my big ideas. They've been coming back to me since Christmas when I made this huge stack of bowls and had some leftover "fabric sandwich" to play with. The scraps were not big enough for more bowls and too big for the trash pile. Now they are coasters.

I was a little worried that they might not hold up well under the duress of heat and condensation, but they have been hanging out under mug after mug of hot tea and still look great.

Wish I could say the same for myself.

  2. A really good stack of books is the perfect antidote to a bad cold, in my opinion. Looks like you've got some good ones there! Hope you're feeling better soon.

  11. man, don't I know about those late night thought cyclones! That constant state of "on" my brain works in is probably the reason I have 6 different sketchbooks and notebooks in this house for inspiration. You, girl, are not alone!

As for your question about my felt...got it from Prairie Point Junction/Wool felt central. The stuff I pictured is the wool blend.

Hope you are feeling better soon!
