Family Snow Day

We finally made it a priority to get out into the snow and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. We've been promising a family snow day since Christmas, and when it comes time to load up and get all bundled in our snow gear, we just can't get motivated to head out the door.

This weekend we decided we needed to get out. We packed up our hot dogs, sleds, marshmallows, and hot cocoa and headed up to Historic Idaho City.
Daddy and Papa got a nice fire going for us so we could roast our hot dogs and marshmallows.
Then we hit the sledding hills for some super fun racing down the mountain. Even Amelia loved the sledding. Hadley and Daddy were having "sled-less" races on their bellies and back sides.

A day out in the snowy woods was just what we needed to get rejuvenated and ready for a new week.

  1. How fun! I love DOING things. I enjoy just 'being' too. But you need a good activity at least once in awhile.
