Look, Ma! My first sale...

I stopped by my shop this evening (as I do every evening) just to say hello to all my little items and guess what?!

I now have my first sale showing up. Woot, Woot!!

It's not a total surprise because my sweet friend Brenda was looking for a vendor apron and instead of just ordering one she e-mailed me and asked me if I wanted the job. I immediately started dreaming and hit the cutest new fabric store in town to select some potential color combinations for her. It was tough work, shopping for someone else, let me tell you! And all that designing and dreaming. Almost killed me. (you know I'm a sarcastinator, right?!)

In the end I used some elements from a few different aprons she sent, the fabric store owner gave me some great advice, and I added a few things I love. Voila! Here we have a serious, hard working vendor apron.
I love this fabric. It's 1974 by Urban Chicks. All colorways are to die for.The turquoise, grey and cream were Brenda's favorite. My favorite part? The secret birdie pocket on the back side...Good luck at your first show, Brenda!! We'll be pulling for you! And thanks for being my first sale.
