It's Time

Two years ago September I received an e-mail from my friend Sarah (the DG). She was professing the ease of starting up a thing called a blog.

Advance forward two years and here we are. A blogging community that has enriched my life far beyond my wildest dreams. I come here for reflection, solace, self esteem boosts, friendship, and so much more.
I'm a better Mom, and bigger dreamer, a more connected friend/wife/daughter/sister, and happier than I can express that I took Sarah's advice and started writing.
It always surprises me that so many of you come to this humble space to share a bit of your precious time, but I'm so glad you do.
To say thanks I think you need a fabric bowl. You choose the bowl from whatever is in stock in my etsy store at the end of the giveaway(don't go there looking just yet...the bowls haven't been loaded) and I choose what goes in the bowl. It may be something crafty and it may be something yummy. But you'll like it. I know you will. Here's how you can win:

Leave a comment on THIS POST telling me your favorite thing about coming here (go local, talk on life, photos, etc.). Comments close on Saturday November, 15th. Winner announced on Sunday the 16th.

Earn an extra chance at winning by:
1. posting this giveaway on your blog and telling me you did with a link
2. becoming a new subscriber to my blog and letting me know
3. adding my blog to your blog roll (and of course telling me :))

Post Away, my friends! I hope you win...

  7. Heather Jane -

I love your blog! I love all the thought and energy you put into living a life full of joy, creativity and peace. I have been a fan since day one as well -- I get great inspiration from your blog - from your Go Local Challenge (which not only pushed me over the edge of walking my talk - but also introduced me to so many other cool bloggers out there) to your photographs and ever expanding stock of amazing handmade items. You are one of my favorite people on Earth! I love you, and I LOVE your blog!

I'll add a post about you and your bowls to my blog tomorrow. Will email you the link then!

    xoxo,
    Holli

  12. I love your blog AND I love the girls' blog! And my favorite thing are all the photos -- I miss my friend known as The Mail Man, so being able to keep up with all of your lives is so very special to me! It's definitely a double and triple treat to read about the local food and all the craftiness. :)

I'll post your contest on my blog tomorrow and will list the link tomorrow night!

And both of your blogs are already on my blog roll! :)

  13. I visit your blog for lots and lots of reasons...loving you being at the top of the list.

But I'd visit your blog even if I didn't know you because you are inspiring me to simplify and become craftier. And I always need inspiration in both of those areas.

Happy Blogiversary!! I hope I win...I'm in love with those gorgeous bowls.

  16. Holy cow, those fabric bowls are simply beautiful! I'm curious to know how you learned to make them. I'm a first-time reader, thanks to your friend Sarah's "shout out" on her blog. But now I just have to add you to my Google Reader and become a regular suscriber!

  17. Heather - I must admit that although I've wandered here a few times in the past, I haven't been a regular reader. I'm a friend of Sarah's and of course had to check this out... your bowls are gorgeous!! I, too, plan to add you to my google reader. I look forward to reading more of your thoughts in the future.

My dear Heather!!! I don't know if I'm in time to enter the contest, and if I'm not that's okay. I'm just so excited I found you -- the high school friend I always lose track of!!!

Your blog is wonderful, and I can't wait to read more of it!

Drop me a line sometime at shannonreagan@hotmail.com -- I'd love to get caught up with you!!!

p.s. -- It's such a small world....I noticed that another one of my dear friends, Meg, is one of your regular readers! Not surprising, 'cause she's super crafty and cool as well...
