Happy Birthday, DG!

The Domestic Goddess came to visit this week, and it just so happened that it was her Birthday week as well. We spent a fun Autumn afternoon watching our children play and chatting with our husbands before dinner and a special dessert of chocolate pumpkin cheesecake. It was so much fun to talk about politics and kids and everything we've been up to lately. I don't think either of us could have ever imagined lives as happy as the ones we lead when we met over 20 years ago. Back then we spent our summers skipping through the South Jr. High field to meet and gossip about boys and cry about our teachers and the unjust way our parents made the rules. But here we are. Two thirty something girls living life to the fullest and loving every minute (okay...most minutes). Still able to sit around and laugh and gossip with each other like we were 12. It's a priceless gift, the gift of a life long friend, and not one I take lightly. I love you, Sarah~ I hope you have your best year yet!
