As you may have guessed from the name of my other blog....I love polka dots (and pansies. and my girls.) So when I saw that Amy over at Angry Chicken was featuring the lovely polka dot for her tie one one apron challenge, I knew I had to get in on it. I've had this navy dot in my fabric stash for about 3 years now, and it's high time it finally became something. I've also been finding lots of embroidery hoops at thrift stores lately and so Hadley and I have been embroidering in the evenings. (I've really got to get her latest creation on here.) I love the pocket, and I am very proud of myself because I was actually patient enough to embroider a second design when I didn't like the first one. Usually I would just forge ahead in the name of finishing.
So anyhow, as usual, I didn't have a pattern, but I found a picture of a style I liked, took some measurements from some of my other aprons, drew up a little plan in my sketch book, and started chopping. In the end I came up with something I love.
If you're looking for a fun challenge I've added the tie one on button on the right. Aprons are a great starter project!! Be sure to share pictures with me if you make one.
