H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N Spells Halloween!

Anybody know that song from childhood? I still teach it to my students because I loved it so much growing up.

We had a fantastic Halloween this year. Hadley absolutely loved getting into all things creepy and fun. We went to Goodwill and found all the parts and pieces for a spectacular purple witch costume, and she was a hit with all the neighbors. I dressed up like a witch with her so we could be "witch sisters" as she put it. As we were walking down the street trick-or-treating that night she looked up at me and said, "Mom, I'm having a great time! Are you having a good time, too?" I, of course, was having a blast hanging out with her. I can't think of a single thing I'd rather have been doing. We had so much fun together, and she scored more treats than any child should ever consume. Ever. (you'll notice her nose is a little scraped up. She had a run in with the playground equipment at school. Oops!)

Hadley and Daddy designed and carved their pumpkins together. Daddy also made us a spook-tacular dinner of witches fingers and eyeball salad. He's the best!

Amelia dressed as a little pumpkin. The perfect costume for a little round one such as herself. She was very entertained by all the hullabaloo at the downtown trick-or-treating event, but didn't go out that night with me and Hadley!

  1. Okay - first of all I'm in love with this post! Hadley looks ADORABLE, you look INCREDIBLE and the things she said to you about being "witch sisters" and "having the best time" make me so happy. Amelia looks tasty as a pumpkin and Phil IS the best!
