Though it was short, it was certainly sweet! We did a test run mini vacation last week and headed for the hills. We rented a beautiful little bitty cabin at Ponderosa State Park in McCall for one night. It was perfect because the drive was only two hours (Amelia doesn't love her car seat) and the weather was ideal. We enjoyed some roasted hot dogs, s'mores, a little beach time, some exciting wildlife, and a few peaceful hours as a family. (Next time I'll remember the bug spray...that was a mishap that almost ruined our camp out, but thankfully the visitor's center had $6 bottles for sale. A purchase worth it's weight in gold.)

  1. What fun! I read this post and thought that I really needed to have a s'more! YUM-MEE! -Sara

  2. I love the picture of Hadley eating the smore. It looks like fun. I am really looking forward to a family vacation. We are going to Myrtle Beach in September. I can't wait.

  3. That sounds wonderful! The lake water there is a FAR CRY from the lake we were at in Indiana. It shows that I was raised in some pretty pristine country compared to this area! (I already knew that but the photo is proof...) I am glad you all had a good time!
